City of Wallis is currently seeking a Chief Operator to perform semi-skilled work of average difficulty in the maintenance and operations of wastewater plant and water pumping facilities. Qualification/Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent, Valid Texas Class C drivers license, Minimum TCEQ issued Class C water and wastewater license with minimum two (2) years' experience.   Email  Royce Macha, Public Works Director at publicworks@wallistexas.org for more information.  click link below for job requirements.  

Prior to having any utilities connected, you must complete a Utility Service Application and pay a deposit.



SENIOR CITIZENS OVER 65 (With proper identification)





Prior to having any utilizes connected, you must complete a Utility Service Application and return with a copy of your drivers license. Senior Citizen discount on trash service upon request with proper ID.    All Rental property will need a safety inspection as well.


Utility bills are mailed on the last day of the month if possible.  Payment is due in our office by 4:00pm on or before the 15th of each month; late fee will be added after the 15th.  Disconnect notices will be sent for all bills not paid by due date, If payment is not made by cutoff date utility services will be disconnected for non-payment and a $50 reconnect fee will be added.

Please Note:

WE HAVE A PAYMENT DROP BOX LOCATED AT CITY HALL AT THE END OF THE SIDEWALK.  PAYMENTS MAY BE PLACED IN THE DROP BOX AT ANY TIME. DO NOT PUT CASH IN THE DROP BOX, CITY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST CASH PAYMENTS.   If the 15th falls on a weekend or city holiday, bills will be considered timely if payment is in our drop box by 8:00am or paid through online billing by 8:00am on the first working day after the 15th.

Residents receive twice a week trash collection service, Monday and Thursdays and are supplied with one wheeled cart.  Service will begin promptly at 6:30am. Please have your waste curbside before 6:30am.  Texas Pride Disposal observes four holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  In the event that your service day falls on a holiday, collection will roll to the next regularly scheduled collection day.  Waste should be placed curbside in the TPD-provided cart, personal trash cans 20-96 gallons and under 50 pounds, or sturdy bags not exceeding 50 pounds.  Limit 8 bags  per service day.  Yard Waste - Branches may be placed curbside in clear, individual piles measuring no more than 3x3x3, or tied and bundled no longer than 4' in length or heavier than 50 pounds.  Limit 8 bundles per service.  Heavy Trash & Bulk Waste - TPD will collect two heavy trash/bulk items per service day.  Items include furniture, apliances, carpeting (tied and bundled), fencing (nails removed, tied and bundled under 4'in length), and other items not disposed of regularly.  Items excluded from regular collection - The following items connot be collected: dirt, rocks, brick, concrete, liquid paints, fuels, oils, tires, pesticides, fertilizer, and batteries.

If there are issues with your trash service please notify city hall (979-478-6712) within 24 hours of the problem.
